    The 2019 Northwest Permaculture Convergence takes place September 27-29, 2019 at Lost Valley Education Center, Dexter, OR, ​near Eugene, OR.
  • Two days of workshops in Tualatin, Oregon. Oct 18-19
    Friday, October 18th: Classroom Workshop 9:00am – 2:00pm | Tualatin Soil and Water Conservation District (7175 NE Evergreen Parkway #400, Hillsboro, OR 97124)This classroom session will cover topics including biochar basics, biochar applications (including soil remediation, water management, organic waste management), biochar production, and biochar characterization. *Lunch will be provided for this workshop. Saturday, October 19th: Hands-on Outdoor Workshop 8:30am – 5:00 pm | Fraga Farm (54655 NW Old Wilson River Rd, Gales Creek, OR 97117)During this interactive, outdoor session, we will work as a crew to set up equipment, cover important safety topics related to biochar production, and then spend the day creating biochar. *Please bring a sack lunch, water bottle, sturdy boots, and leather gloves. Wear cotton, wool, or other fire-resistant clothing. No fleece or nylon.
